Dremel Europe and RotoZip picked Giedo to become their ambassador for his personality racing talent. The companies hope to help Giedo work his way up to Formula 1. In 2007 Van der Garde was Spyker F1's official test driver and covered hundreds of miles on track for the Formula 1 team. In 2008 Van der Garde will compete in the World Series by Renault, where he finished fifth in the overall standings last season.
Giedo van der Garde: "I am extremely proud that we can count on the support of Dremel Europe an RotoZip. Dremel was already active in Formula 1 as Spyker F1 sponsor so I'm really proud that they will support my career. I will do everything I can to show my talent on track and I'm sure that I will not disappoint both Dremel and RotoZip!"
GR8Industries.com facilitated the sponsorship deal.
