Dutch driver Giedo van der Garde will race for the Spanish Barwa Addax Team in the 2010 GP2 Main Series. After excellent results and a positive cooperation during the official GP2 test day in Jerez (Spain) 9 October the team decided to sign Giedo as their driver for next season.

Last season Giedo finished seventh in his first GP2 year with the iSport International team and won races on the circuits of Spa-Francorchamps, Hungaroring and Monza. Giedo was the top Rookie behind champion Nico Hulkenberg. Giedo strives to win the 2010 GP2 Main Series championship with the Barwa Addax Team and push for a seat on the Formula One Grid in the future.
Giedo van der Garde: "I believe Barwa Addax Team has everything enable me to develop and get the best out of my talent. During the test I immediately felt that the team and car suited me perfectly. We have a lot of confidence moving forward and the belief we can fight for the championship!"
